If you’re reading this we know you are one of the many who share our enthusiasm for our community’s amazing main street and the celebrations that are being to be planned to mark its 100th anniversary!

At Creative Neighbourhoods the street party has already begun, and over the next three months we’ll be detailing some of the many engaging projects that local organizations and businesses can look forward to participating in, as we mark the passage into our main street’s second century.

There is a project for everybody, and a sponsorship level for every budget.

This month we’re uploading background kits on two projects.The first is a story-telling project that captures memories of our street’s rich past with today’s digital technology for the enjoyment and appreciation of residents and visitors for generations to come.

The second is also about our main street’s digital future; this time as the geographical hub of a community wireless internet initiative.

 
 
 
Upcoming event

Saturday the February 24th will the see the city host a Neighbourhood Planning Workshop Day from 9.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. at the Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington St. W.

Creative Neighbourhoods will be onsite along with ogWifi and area architects and planners as we showcase programs and projects that are part of the One Hundred Years of Wellington Street West celebration.

We’ll also be showing a neighbourhood "Quality of Life" GIS slideshow and setting our giant street mapping project to gather your ideas for how you’d like to see the main street district develop.
