Anosognosia

July 13, 2006

There are words for everything in the mental health field.  Anosognosia means lack of insight … have to figure out how to include this in day to day conversation.  Alogia (another good word to throw into conversation) means saying very little or poverty of speech.

I did buy a book entitled "Snakes in Suits’" on the weekend as I am always curious about how the pathology portrayed in "The Corporation" plays itself out in individuals and organizational dynamics, including corporations.

I have read some good books since being here in Squamish.  The best so far are "The Kite Runner" and "The Constant Gardener’.  In the mystery genre, I am working my way through books by Minette Walters.  Now I am reading  Paris 1919, which is interesting but is not going to keep me up ’till the wee hours reading.
